Visitors to the Northern Territory's Red Centre can enjoy views of dramatic scenery, bushwalking, swimming, four-wheel driving or quad-bike riding. The desert climate and landscapes encourage a healthy outdoor lifestyle and sets a great scene for outback adventure. We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse with demonstrated experience in a psychiatric in-patient unit. Possession of good knowledge in clinical co-ordination, leadership and supervision skills will work wonders! Within the unit you will be providng direct and comprehensive assessment and care to patients and contribute to individual, family or group programs aimed at improving the client's sense of wellbeing and health.
The open unit is expanding to 16-beds so your expertise will be welcomed. The team is very supportive and friendly and the unit is extremely well-staffed. You will be provided with an excellent orientation which will include learning more about our indigenous culture.
We do have two positions available so if you are travelling with a like-minded nursing colleague, why not consider travelling together? The contracts are for 6 months and provide subsidised accommodation and reasonable relocation expenses.
